Building your brand focusing on what you can control

You can't change your woman

You can't change your friends

You can't change the X algorithm

You can't change the government

But you can change how you react to it.

When I started on X, I focused on the wrong things, like most beginners.

Instead of focusing on tasks that will bring the results I want over time,

I started focusing on things I can't control:

— The algorithm

— Impressions/ Likes

— Money

That's what most of us want in this game;

Getting clients,

Having posts skyrocketing,

post what the algorithm wants

and boom, success.

But in reality that's not how things work

When I focus on the algorithm too much, I end up sounding like copycats of accounts on X, and that's not why I'm on X.

When I focus on impressions or likes.

I never get them because I fall for the trap of sounding like a copycat and posting like other accounts on X.

When I focus on money, I end up sounding like a scammer.

I force outcomes, I force DMs, and my brand sounds unauthentic.

Sounding like I'm pushing too much to make money, and I'm scarce.

That's not what you want for your brand, and I'm sure I don't want

What I want, and what I'll help get on this, is:

— Create content that you want according to what works

— Getting likes and Impressions without sounding like a copycat

— Attract money without sounding too scarce or like a scammer

And don't worry, you don't need to have all the resources, or be so good at your skill.

You need only to use what you have now and go forward:

Let's break it down:

1: F* the algorithm

Well, I remember I used to rely on “hacks” and “templates” to create good content.

I knew what was working, and I copied what was working.

What happened later?

I felt like a fraud, I wasn't creating what I wanted, and I almost quit X.

Now, there's a rule I follow:

-See what's working

-Pick what I like

-Understand why it works

Create my stuff based on that.

The goal is to pick what works and create your spin on it.

Over time, I create new and unique angles based on you.

2: Distribution

Well, to like/ Impressions on X I realized it was an easy process and I only needed 3 things:

→ Engagement

→ Do what works

→ Networking

Networking is the most important one.

If you have mid-big creators liking, commenting, or retweeting your posts. It will reach more people.

Instead of relying only on an algorithm that you can't control. You're going to focus on networking, engagement, and your unique spin on what works.

3: Promoting

One of the things I lacked a lot, was promoting.

I didn't promote my services or products.

I got the likes and impressions and stayed happy like, I already achieved my goal, and I was winning.

But, in reality, I lost a lot of opportunities because of not promoting daily.

Promote daily:

→ In your posts

→ Newsletter

→ Dms

You need once a day, over time it will compound

One of your posts can go viral, so promote it, and let it ready, so your future clients may come.

4: Doubling down

Now that you know the basics, all you need to focus is doubling down.

Most of the time, people think they need something new all the time, well they don't.

Most of the work is “repetitive”. It's not always about seeking more, but mastering what you already have.

Double down on the 1,2 & 3rd step as much as you can, master it.

I doubt you will spend 3/5 months without closing 10 clients.
